The main objective of this research line consists in the development of a series of digital twins that can form the basis of guidance/support applications for the crews of military ships to address the following situations:
- Situations derived from reduced or insufficient values of the stability of the ship in an intact state, which can generate both operational problems (for example, not being able to embark essential material in combat situations) and safety (high-risk situations derived from the total loss of stability).
- Situations derived from possible breakdowns, both due to the possible effect of an individual breakdown, as well as the effect of extension and of the breakdown and its propagation between the different compartments of the ship, which may ultimately lead to their total loss.
- Situations derived from the appearance of fires on board, as well as their extension throughout the different rooms of the ship, and the dispersion of smoke inside it with the consequent effect on both the ship's operability and safety of the personnel on board.
